Got a high probability of warping. If it's a file it's possibly 1095. I'd go 3x grain refinement IE normalization. 1500 quench into Parks 50. Temper at 400 for an hour 3x. If it warps do your first temper and then set up a three point jig that you can clamp to it while it tempers for round two. Check it and adjust the jig as needed.

I then scribe a line where the belly should land according to a hollow grind calculator I use online. I use the corner of the wheel and watch as I creep up to the scribe line.
